Commercial dairy and meat goat farming in Kenya are growing fast and contributing much to the national income, economic growth and better human nutrition source. In the past few years, goat farming has become very popular with small scale farmers in urban and densely populated areas of Kenya for their Sweet meat and highly nutritious milk.
Three-quarters of the global population eat goat meat. It comprises 10% of worldwide meat consumption and 60% of red meat. Goat meat contains low amounts of saturated fatty acids and cholesterol. It is considered to be a healthier alternative to other types of red meat.
Manure from the goats goes into the Kanyaboli farm to contribute in the growth of all other organic produce.
